”The Lolita Story”: ART-TO-GO

“The Lolita Story” is a virtual exhibition of a piece of digital art that you can take home with you on your mobile – and then do whatever you want with.

The launch is held in Posthall,en Thursday 14 July at 19.00.

Visual artist Edvarda Aslaksen Bråaanaas and Mitte Digital has created a new package on how art can be presented, marketed, disseminated and distributed.

“The Lolita Story” application was first presented at the Nordic Conference “AppWorks 02″ in May 2011, under the auspices of mobil.no.
The App is based on Vladimir Nabokov’s classic novel “Lolita” and gives you a fifty iPad drawings, inspired by Nabokov’s novel.

The drawings are done with the iPad application Sketchbook Pro, and interprets this classic for a new era, and through a new medium.
The artwork is now available on the mobile market for the iPhone and Android phones.

Technology has already turned a number of cultural expressions on their heads in the past decade, and now cracks the words of the fortifications between the “original” and “reproduction”, as well as “exclusive” and “public domain”.
